Antoine Ganzhorn was born in 1997 in Saint-Étienne (France, département 42). He grew up with one foot in the city and the other in the rural landscapes of Auvergne. Initially, he pursued studies in graphic design and communication in Le Puy-en-Velay (43) and later in Lyon (69). After taking a gap year, he decided to leave agency work behind and finally make illustration his main profession. In 2019, he joined Émile Cohl, followed by the Master’s program in Multimedia Publishing in 2022. Alongside his studies, Antoine worked on a wide range of professional projects. From illustrating academic theses to producing journalistic comics, designing live murals, and engaging in artistic performances, he enjoys exploring diverse formats and collaborating with people from different backgrounds. In 2024, he completed his master’s internship at the Meise Botanic Garden in Belgium. There, he worked on educational programs, public events, and scientific projects. Through Instagram comics, he shared life at the garden by blending personal anecdotes with scientific storytelling. Just as he created his first comics in a community center, Antoine is now eager to pass on what he’s learned over the years. Whether through summer workshops or structured courses, he enjoys teaching and building collaborative group projects. Today, Antoine is growing his professional network in Belgium, where he continues to work with the botanic garden.
