Animation - Master Degree
I initially enrolled at Émile Cohl with the intention of pursuing a career in comic art. Having drawn all my life, the school seemed like a great opportunity to refine my technical skills and move toward a profession in publishing. However, once I started attending Nicolas Schiavi’s film culture classes, a new desire began to take shape. The idea of bringing my drawings to life thrilled me, and I became excited by the prospect of creating visuals that stood apart from mainstream animation. This desire to merge drawing and cinema naturally led me to turn toward animation. In my fourth year, I specialized in animation, continuing to experiment visually—this time with a stronger foundation in animation software. Around the same time, I began attending screenings at the Institut Lumière, which deepened my interest in directing and staging. In my fifth year, I directed my graduation film Down to Earth, where I aimed to use my understanding of mise-en-scène to serve the story. I eventually completed my final-year internship at Ninoc Studio, an animation studio specializing in pre-production and directing.
